顧客テーブルの性別を格納するカラム名に「なんたらSex」と付けるのはどうかと思う。そこはGenderではないのか。

ふつうはgenderですよね。
ただ、生物学上の性が問題になる分野、
たとえばヘルスケア関連の場合なんかはsexにします。
